Buffalo Bills Owner Ralph Wilson Comments on Home Games in Toronto

Buffalo Bills owner, Ralph Wilson, has stated he is in no hurry to add more than one home games a year in Toronto.  The Bills are scheduled to play one home game a year for the next five years in Toronto.  Toronto is about 100 miles from Buffalo and has a large Bills fan base.

The Bills played their first regular season game in Toronto and got mixed reviews.  High ticket prices and low Bills fan turnout led to the disappointment.  Many Miami fans were in attendance for a 16-3 Miami victory.  Ticket prices have been lowered by 17%, with 11,000 tickets priced below the $100 level.

While officials in Toronto would like to add more games a year, Wilson has stated he would prefer to wait two to three years before considering expanding the series by more than one game a year.

Many Bills fan believe this is the first step to relocating the Bills, although Wilson had repeatedly said there are no plans to move the Bills out of Buffalo.  Can't blame the Bills fans for their fears, one just has to look at the Oklahoma City Thunder for how empty those promises can be.  The deal is a great source of income for the Bills, providing $78 million much more than the projecting operating costs.

The Bills will play the Jets in this year's home game in Toronto on December 3rd.
