World University Games Team Selected

The final cuts were made Thursday for the United States team that will compete in the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.
The point guards selected were Villanova’s Corey Fisher and Penn State’s Talor Battle.
There is great talent at the wing positions with guards Evan Turner (Ohio State) and James Anderson (Oklahoma State) and forwards Robbie Hummel (Purdue), Craig Brackins (Iowa State), Da’Sean Butler (West Virginia), and Quincy Pondexter (Washington).
The post players include North Carolina’s Deon Thompson, Mississippi State’s Jarvis Varnado, Clemson’s Trevor Booker, and Marquette’s Lazar Hayward.
The team will be coached by Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan, and the assistants are Frank Haith of Miami and Rob Jeter of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
