Rondo Signs Extension With Celtics

The Boston Celtics announced Monday that they have signed point guard Rajon Rondo to a contract extension. The deal is believed to be worth $55 million over five seasons.
Currently in his fourth season in the NBA, Rondo has averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 assists a game for his career. He led the Celtics to a championship in 2007-2008 in only his second professional season.
