Moyer to have season ending surgery
Thursday, October 1, 2009Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jamie Moyer will have season ending surgery on torn muscles in his groin and lower abdomen.
The 46-year old pitcher was 12-10 with a 4.94 in 30 games. Moyer lost his spot in the rotation to Pedro Martinez and was not likely to be on the Phillies post season roster.
