A Criminal’s Debt to Quarterback Tom Brady Has Been Paid in Full by a Stranger
Monday, July 13, 2009Posted by Cedric Harmon
A local businessman repaid the debt of a man that was accused of stealing expensive flower boxes from Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.
In May of 2008, 61-year old Dennis Paiva took some flower boxes that were placed behind Brady’s house because he thought that they were placed out for trash. Paiva then sold the merchandise for scrap metal. The courts later ordered the elderly gentlemen to pay back $4,000 to Tom Brady for the items he stole.
Dan Greenwald, the owner of a Burlington ad agency, saw an article in the Boston Herald on Friday that discussed the matter. He then read that Paiva’s excuse was that he was forced to find anything that could help him with finances. Paiva claimed that he was incapable of working due to a surgical procedure.
With sympathy at heart, Dan Greenwald stated that Paiva got “the rawest of Raw Deals.”The Businessman then paid the debt of Paiva in full.
Paiva stated that Greenwald’s gift was “a dream come true.”
