Beltran Seeking Second Opinion

New York Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran is seeking a second opinion on his injured right knee in Colorado this week.

Beltran has been on the disabled list since June 22 with a bone bruise. He met with Dr. Richard Steadman, a knee specialist, on Monday.

Before going down with the injury, Beltran was batting .336 with eight home runs and 40 RBI.
